National Electronics Museum

On a recent trip to Baltimore, MD to attend an assessment meeting, I was able to spend a couple of hours at a not-so-well known museum. That is the National Electronics Museum, located very close to the BWI airport and worth a visit for anybody interested in the history and development of electronic communications. Their website is http://www.hem-usa.org/

Their main focus is to preserve the history of electronics as applied to military communications. A large part of their exhibits are dedicated to the different generations of airborne radar systems, jamming systems and the like. The exterior of the museum features several large antennas for radar and long-range communications:
