The senior students in the Baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) program at Penn State Wilkes-Barre presented their final project on May 7, 2009. The picture below shows Christopher Moses (left) and Joseph Stevens (right) during the presentation for their group.
After intense discussions at the beginning of the course, this group of students decided to build a Discriminating Metal Detector that could not only discriminate between different metals but also to store the position of the located object through a built in GPS receiver. The picture below shows the third member of the group, Matt Smith with their prototype. All the technical details for their project can be found in their course website http://courses.wb.psu.edu/08-09/eet419-420/Group1/index.htm . An additional requirement of these two courses is for the students to build a website that collects all the information about their project.
Chris Moses (center) is graduating with the BSEET degree on May 16th. We wish him success in his future academic and professional endeavors. We are sure that he will make us all Penn State proud. Joseph Stevens (left) and Matt Smith (right) will stay with us for an additional semester in order to complete those courses that never seemed to fit in their schedule.
Congratulations to Chris, Joe and Matt for a job well done. They sure look happy!!
